The colourful interplay of comfort, style and natural light characterizes our latest design work. The already existing clean, somewhat austere style design of the space called out for impulsive extravagance, which our Client already was missing, although our concept had a somewhat shocking effect on him at first sight. Pairing the masculine world of high-tech with rounded, more feminine shapes or powdery shades can create dissonant feelings in us.
However, the elements used here create an eclectic, yet well-thought-out, collected composition, in which a deer antler fits just as well as a contemporary painting. The created spaces are very eclectic, where functionality, aesthetics, hard and soft lines are present at the same time. Each room and part of the space has its own character, yet they fit together or complement each other with their opposites.
Thus, we contrasted bold colours, mixed materials, and lively patterns with the kitchen’s elegant monochromaticity, or the sprawling wallpaper of the bedroom with patterned decorative guest pillows on the bed, while the strictly textured black wallpaper of the room was crowned with a multitude of trophies. To these details shiny carpets with patches in their material add another flash of the richness of the living room and bedroom.
Deep accent colours create dramatic flashes, bringing real power to this sophisticated urban home. The vivid accent patterns are in contrast with tonal materials to bring just the right amount of vibrancy to any room. Geometric lines, radiant woven textiles and upholstery in rich shades inject energy, while an overtly feminine tone permeates the spaces with sensual softness and encompasses them with youthful, colourful details. With the help of patterns we sneak excitement into the space, while also taking into account their hierarchy, this is how we created a hint of invisible order in the chaos of fabrics.
