Current statistics show that people spend 90% of their time indoors, so it’s no surprise that our customers wanted a comfortable home that reflected a tangible connection with the natural world. Accordingly the house designed by the architect has energy-efficient solutions, open spaces, large glass surfaces overlooking the garden, and we also kept in mind when designing the interiors to communicate with nature. Environmentally friendly materials, natural light and view were an important part of our concept.

Where the family often gathers, spacious communal spaces are needed, but it is just as important that the house functions perfectly in everyday life and serves all needs. The living room itself provides space for two separate living situations: for a comfortable evening time, and also for social events, the imaginary boundary of which is the fireplace that gives warmth. The light that shines through the floor-to-ceiling curtains fills the living room with life and highlights the most beautiful face of the furniture, giving the space a dramatic effect. In the casually arranged living room, the iconic floor lamp stands in harmonious dialogue with armchairs covered with a strong yet soft-looking boucle.

We separated the living room with a couple of steps for level shifts and a characteristic chest of drawers from the always noisy dining room, where it’s all about a huge table, emphasized by dining chairs with curved lines and playful pendants. The dining area is connected to the kitchen by a custom-designed kitchen counter, where marble and light shades dominate, reflecting subtle restraint.

A contemporary-style home is made memorable by its fierce commitment to modern simplicity, geometric shapes, and a strict yet well-thought-out colour palette, the dominant colours here are shades of white, beige, and brown, their durability and versatility is perfectly complemented by powerful colour spots and patterned fabrics. The paintings are responsible for both dramatic effect and harmony.

In the house, we paid special attention to unique solutions, from hidden doors and built-in furniture to mirrored surfaces. The unique wall coverings play an important role in the overall effect, which give structure and depth to the rooms, in addition, they have both decorative and perfect acoustic properties.

The large chevron parquet flooring is a low-key yet characteristic element of the atmosphere of the house, the laying direction of which has been adjusted to the clean staircase that moves out of the perpendicular system of the house. The most striking point of this is echoed in the parent’s bedroom, behind the bed, where the division of the parquet continues in the wall covering combined with a bronze mirror. Warm tones, special surfaces, and the use of a lot of wood make the bedroom intimate and homely.

The modern-style bathroom is based on the concept of a clean, calm oasis, which we complemented with glossy marble tiles and brushed bronze details for a memorable effect and a flow experience in a space interwoven with light surfaces.

In the rooms dominated by children, we prioritised their own taste and gave them character with simple, clean functional decorations, creating friendly environment that can be easily varied.
